The client is currently seeking a Materials/Logistics Coordinator to work a contract position in Edmonton and then to move to site.
Responsibilities
- Temporary facility acquisition and oversight for CSU resources including all vendor and field contractor support facilities .
- Logistics coordination and tracking of all CSU rental equipment assuring just in time availability and costeffective use of equipment
- Receiving and inventorying of all CSU materials procured by the Planning and Scheduling group
- Determine facilities requirements based on the CSU manpower loading
- Acquire facilities and oversee mobilization, ready for use & demobilization
- Ensure ongoing maintenance and functionality of facilities
- Assure a timely transition out of temporary facilities prior to hydrocarbon in
- Optimize the facility requirements as per the scheduled work load
- Ensure availability of temporary signage, flagging, fencing as per the plan
- Ensure a cleaning plan is in place and executed
- Oversight of adequate facility for distribution of CSU temporary equipment (radio distribution, gas monitors, SCBA, fire extinguishers etc.)
- Acquisition and on site management of rental equipment – ensuring a pay for usage program and that we optimize our return on the dollar for equipment
- Identify usage patterns and streamline equipment rentals as per needs
- Identify and ensure adequate tool crib/s and staff to meet the needs of CSU with alignment to the legacy of tool cribs and tools which will be left for the running organization
- Adhere to IPL Core Values
- Maintain inventory accuracy by performing cycle counts and recounts as required
- Identify obsolete equipment and make recommendations for removal from inventory
- Participate in the evaluation of the storerooms in IPL to help determine what materials should be stored in what storerooms
- Apply warehousing methodology to optimize Inventory
- Receiving and put away of product from vendors to warehouse inventory, Dock to Stock target of 95% within 8 business hours
- Put away and pick material according to FIFO logic, where applicable
- Ensure that goods are received and verified, follow through of the Procure to Pay process and storage of goods
Qualifications
- The Commissioning and Startup Facilities / Logistics / Materials Coordinator will have 5 years in a leadership role and experience in a petrochemical, refining or upgrading environment.
- The candidate should have strong organizational skills, experienced in operating Forklift and Zoom Boom, loading and unloading equipment and materials from flatbed trailers and enclosed trailers.
