The leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is seeking a Deputy Project Director to join a leading international engineering company.

Opportunity

Joining the senior management team is an excellent opportunity to join a company that is widely recognized as market leaders in the field of infrastructure engineering. This client is looking for an experience Director from a civils background.

Project

This role will be on a major Mass Rail Transit project in Klang Valley, Kuala Lumpar Malaysia. The project itself is a light rail system covering 37KM, and 25 stations. This is one of three large light rail projects in the area, presenting candidates with a good existing network of expats in country.

Location

The role will be based in Kuala Lumpar, Malaysia.

Salary Package

The salary package consists of a base salary between $8,000 - $10,000/m

Accommodation Allowance

Company car, fuel and toll charges (business purposes only)

Annual home air ticket for staff and family members residing in Malaysia,

Group Medical cover, Work Permit and Visa fee cover

Mobilisation and Demobilisation fees

24 days annual leave per year.

Requirements

For this role the client that we are working with have a minimum requirement of;

Donor funded experience working with JICA, ADB, World Bank or similar

South East Asia experience 5+ years

Degree qualified in engineering subject

20 years total work experience

At least 15 years in railway experience

Successfully delivered a rail or infrastructure project in the last 10 years

Proven track record in project delivery of large infrastructure and or system works

Possess strong leadership skills with proven track record in establishing and managing an effective construction delivery team

Proven track record in managing and coordinating detail design consultants, supervising consultants and work package contractors activities

Strong ability to drive the construction team, consultants and work contractors to deliver the project on time and within budget

Excellent communicator

People orientated

Ability to establish and maintain close rapport with Boardroom, Employer and external stakeholders

fit to conduct frequent site walks and inspection as often as necessary
