Material Engineer / Malaysia
As Material Engineer you are to utilizes discipline knowledge and experience of engineering principles, procedures, and materials to ensure the engineering design is properly translated into specifications, drawings, datasheets, and purchase orders.
You are responsible for identifying innovative methods to carry out assigned tasks ensuring all required material is functional and accounted for within a design and in compliance with international codes, Company specifications, and industry standards and regulations.
You may be assigned as a Package Engineer with technical responsibility for the design, procurement and manufacture of the Package. You must prioritize assigned activities to deliver a safe, efficient design and meet construction and installation milestones.
In addition, you are:
Demonstrate depth and breadth of technical knowledge of the discipline
Accountable to identify material of construction of piping component, mechanical equipment on projects
Utilize expertise in corrosion assessment and corrosion control management of facilities
Responsible for material selection report and corrosion study report
May act as Discipline Lead for assigned projects

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree in Material/ Mechanical Engineering with minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience
Professional membership with BEM, IEM and NACE International would be an added advantage
Extensive knowledge in Material engineering in offshore projects.
Ability to produce painting/coating specification deliverables
Ability to calculate / produce coating MTO for FPSO
Ability to recommend surface preparation and paint system
Knowledge of coating and painting inspector
Extensive knowledge of material selection standards (for example ISO 21457, NACE and NORSOK M-001)
Knowledge of NACE MR0175/ ISO 15156; General knowledge on material standards (f.e. ASTM, API, AISI and ISO)
