The Perth Digital Field Services (DFS) Team manages the global telecommunications services to all current Production Assets. Technologies supported include transmission network, WAN, LAN, Microwave/UHF/VHF/HF radio, satellite comms, CCTV, Public Address, and various other Operator communications systems.
The DFS team comprises engineers, technicians, Network engineers and other IT professionals. As Telecom Technical Specialist, you will contribute to the team by providing technical advice and support, planning, development and execution of telecommunications projects and business as usual (BAU) services, for the global offshore and onshore businesses. You will work closely with your team members and other stakeholders to ensure critical telecommunications infrastructure and services are delivered and maintained in accordance with company standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will pro-actively participate in the company's safety culture framework, ensuring delivery of telecom products and services in line with HSE requirements.
While following company work processes, you will deliver defined parcels of work, engaging internal and external specialists as needed, reporting progress and driving continuous improvement. You will deliver drawings, workpacks, and permits in pursuit of in-time, in-budget delivery. You will implement fit for purpose technical solutions at site, manage cost and measure success. The position is primarily office based and has a significant on-site element requiring apparatus installation, site supervision, troubleshooting and project implementation support activities.
You will be expected to develop and maintain close working relationships with other internal discipline leads and engineers as well as external industry peers, suppliers, consultants and regulatory authorities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- 5 to 10 years' engineering experience in maintenance, or project delivery via a systems integrator or part of an EPC project
- Previous Oil & Gas industry and exposure to operations
- Demonstrated solid analytical problem solving techniques and delivery of small, medium projects
- Written technical documentation such as specifications, scopes, with clear written and oral communication skills.
- Led and assured continuous improvement and business process improvement processes.
- Demonstrated self-starter, autonomous work capability, while remaining a team player.
- Performed responsible roles in site supervision, commissioning, handover to operations
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Ideally, you will possess expert knowledge across business and Operator communications systems including analogue and digital radio technologies, satellite, microwave radio, Radar, MATV, CCTV, Public Address, LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, video conferencing, navigation and security.
