Well Servicing Equipment Operator

The client is currently seeking a Well Servicing Equipment Operator for a 9 month contract based out of Clairmont, Alberta. The role is 15 days on, 6 days off with 80 hour work weeks. The Equipment Operator is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable PSD to customers. The Equipment Operator will also identify opportunities to improve service delivery, and assist field and maintenance crews with preparing equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain all equipment related to stimulation, and rigging up in their assigned service field
  • Operate auxiliary equipment and pump unit while maintaining excellent quality control and in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Comply with all governmental regulations, industry standards and observes all health, safety and environmental policies to reduce environmental impacts
  • Drive specialized company equipment to and from service jobs, following accepted company convoy procedures
  • Spot equipment into position; rig up treating lines, hoses, wellhead connections, etc., to trucks, tanks and wells, according to company location safety standards
  • Blend and prepare chemicals for pumping according to established procedures
  • Operate assigned bulk and auxiliary equipment during treatment, recognizes equipment malfunctions, and correct them as necessary or report them to Service Supervisor
  • Disconnect treating connections, etc., according to safety procedures and return
  • them to proper location
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment according to company policy to insure unit is in safe and proper working condition for the next service job
  • Inspect and/or repair treating connections
  • Complete all required paperwork, including logs, checklists and reports, and submit them in accordance with company policy
  • Assist in keeping base location and equipment neat, clean, and in good repair
  • Strive for service quality and SQM implementation.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Maintain good, safe working order of equipment according to standards, reporting problems or deviations
  • Prepare equipment for rig up and rig down times
  • Wear PPE and observe HSE policies
Must Have Qualifications:
  • 5+ years’ experience in Well Servicing especially in Fracturing operations
  • High School diploma or GED; associate (2-3 year) degree
