Steel Detailer / Australia

The Company:

This role is a rare opportunity to join one of the leading steel frame engineering companies in Sydney. The company is well organised and offers full-time, permanent career opportunity in a very busy commercial construction market.
The projects will be large commercial aged care, hospitals, schools, shopping centers etc. for some of the largest builders in Sydney.

The Role:

• Undertake drafting and detailing of steel frame and truss drawings
• Ensure detailing is clear, complete, and accurate, defining how the frame and/or trusses are to be manufactured and erected on site.
• Check and validate detailed drawings against design documents.
• Prepare Production and Site Packages for each project
• Interpret architectural and structural drawings, alternative proposals provided by our designers in a ‘Design Brief’, sketches, notes, and other related information.
• Maintain CAD Libraries, Resources, Drawings Store Management Systems

Skills Required:

• FrameCAD or AutoCAD experience preferred 
• Structural drafting experience or drafting for commercial projects
• Ability to work full time
