The client is pleased to offer the following key contract position: Project Engineer

Work Location: Stavanger

Start date: 01.02.2020 - 30.09.2020

Description

• Assist the IPL PM in establishing a project management information system for the planning improvement project portfolio

• Coordinate the development of integrated management processes to guide consistent management practices by all planning improvement projects

• Assist the IPL PM in preparing and administering management system training

• Follow-up project management information system issues with the various project teams

• Perform interface management between planning improvement projects and toward external stakeholders to ensure key interface agreements are documents and implemented

• Prepare weekly, monthly and other reports as necessary to keep relevant stakeholders and units updated on portfolio status

• Liaison with Omega Pims regarding issues associated with the project / portfolio management system

• Plan and coordinate project management reviews as require by the IPL PM

• Provide presentations as required to key stakeholders regarding portfolio/project status, issues, etc.

• Audit the management system to ensure items are being processes correctly and in a timely fashion

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor degree in the field Business / Engineering / Economics or similar education

• Minimum of 5yrs experience in similar project management support position within the oil and gas industry

• Training and knowledge of client`s  project management system and processes

Experience

• Have an in-depth understanding of VFW project’s management system and processes

• Experience using Omega Pims suite (reporting, change, interface, meetings, etc.)

• Be an advanced user of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio software

• Familiar with client’s ongoing planning improvement initiatives

• Familiar with  client’s current information technology architecture and information management systems

• Experience following up project management issues and interface management

• Experience planning, executing and documenting project management reviews and workshops

• Knowledge of  client’s  planning processes and field development process

• Norwegian speaker and resident in Norway

• Behaviour in accordance with  client’s  “SAFER” values
