Operations Engineer / Netherlands

Description

As Operations Engineer you report to the Site Leader and work as a process specialist in the Sluiskil pretreatment plan. In your role, you will optimize the availability, production and safety of the Sluiskil operations by following and developing different process functions, variables and operations. Liaise with the Finland based Technology Office, in order to analyze and develop the pretreatment technology locally and in global level. You will be working as a member of the global feedstock team. Liaise with the Neste supply chain and the Neste Maasvlakte engineering group for feed stock evaluations and test runs.

Main responsibilities

• Safe and compliant operations; ensures a safe operating culture and a transparent way of working. Developing and implementation a variety of operating principles
• and procedures
• Process optimization and developement; ensuring the plant production targets meet the business and management specifications
• Leading various projects in the operations department and cross-functionally. Enabling effectiveness and performance of individuals by ensuring people competences and development
• Continuous improvement of all key processes

Requirements

• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in process or chemical engineering
• ­ Work experience as operating engineer, laboratory engineer or process engineer withe preferably min. 2 years
• ­ Knowledge of mass, momentum and heat transfer, reaction chemistry, fluid dynamics and thermodynamics
• ­ Knowledge of process engineering tools like process steady state and/or dynamic simulator, AutoCAD, SmartPlant P&ID
• ­ Knowledge of relevant design standards and recommended practices
• ­ Knowledge of hazard analysis methodology
