Role synopsis
The Workover ESP Advisor will report directly to Workover ESP Manager. The role is both field based and also office based as demanded by the task in hand. He will train/coach local staff through the ESP Site Leader program, to ensure operational functions are carried out safely and effectively by ESP vendors.

Key accountabilities
- Lead by example and demonstrate a strong commitment to HSE
- Coach staff in all aspects of ESP related activities
- Ensure lessons learnt are identified, reviewed and implemented
- Support the preparation of ESP Contactors procedures, checklists and other documentation to support preparation at the base / rigsite, installation on location and DIFA.
- Support DIFA activities by providing expert oversight at critical times of DIFA process
- Support QA and auditing activities
- Achieving best-in-class performance through the application of performance management practices and driving supplier performance
- Assurance of the technical integrity of the operations and compliance with in-country law, corporate policy, international standards and guidelines.
- Educated to at least vocational level in electrical or mechanical discipline
- Minimum of 15 years industry or related experience with at least 10 years in ESPs
- Detailed knowledge of electrical submersible pumps, variable speed drive and power generation systems is essential, including:
- Procedure development (procedures, checklists etc.)
- Field service
- Internal design and components
- Bypass systems and ESP packers
- VSDs
- Power systems and system commissioning
- Troubleshooting and failure analysis
- Design and Sizing (Application)
- Experience with multiple ESP vendors
- Strong leadership skills, demonstrated by supervisory roles
- A proven ability to coach, train and mentor national staff to international standards
- Extensive international & multi-cultural working experience
- Experience of working in remote locations; Middle East land based environments is preferred
- Flexible approach to work
