Contract: Project Manager (IT) / Canada

The client is currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for a Contract role in North York Ontario.  This role the individual must be local or have their own accomodations in the area. 

The Senior Project Manager’s responsibilities includes to develop, maintain, and execute the Master Intergrated project plan for the CIS Program in Microsoft Project 2016 Professional. The Program Manager will work directly with Project Managers to help identify, create and maintain project activities upon which a project schedule will be maintained and ensuring that the project runs on time, identify risks and issues, and provide dashboards that calulate SPI and other management data as required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Monitor project plan performance and determine improvement areas by developing key performance indicators for critical department metrics
• Oversee and identify project plan deviations and recommend resolution for the project manager
• Conduct schedule variance analysis and schedule against baseline values through SPI measurement techniques
• Enforce actual project data collection and weekly accurate estimates
• Recommend and execute corrective actions to handle project compliance
• Identify any problems that arise during project, identify and mitigate potential risks or delays
• Developing and maintaining detailed product schedules
• Ensuring adherence to recommended best practices such as the critical path method based on PERT
• Application of various project progress methods to ensure the project schedule is on track to meet deadlines or deliverables


Mandatory Skills: Business & Technical

• An expert in Microsoft Project, understanding advanced concepts and maintaining large complex project plans with multiple dependencies and deliverables
• Manage project baselines and deviations to this baseline
• Develop Program Dashboards to show SPI and other S-curve variances
• Exceptional communication and written skills
