Role synopsis
The position is responsible for the delivery of safe, effective ESP completion solutions for the field development plan. The post holder will lead the Wells ESP team which is there to safely and efficiently manage ESP supply contracts and provide oversight and supervision of ESP installations, recovery and failure inspections. The role requires close work other functions in Workover, Subsurface, Operations and PSCM.

Key accountabilities
- Allocate and line manage resources in the Wells ESP team
- Provide ESP experience, expertise and leadership at all stages of the ESP life cycle, with focus on ESP system supply, installation, recovery and inspection.
- Lead by example and demonstrate a strong commitment to HSE
- Monitor and drive supplier performance though the development and implementation of performance management systems
- Ensure supplier QA/QC compliance and support auditing activities
- Create and maintain ESP related processes, standards, procedures, database, KPI trackers and other related documentation
- Ensure supplier inventories are maintained at adequate levels to support the activity forecast
- Ensure DIFA activities are carried out effectively and on time
- Identify and implement initiatives and technologies to improve ESP run life
- Develop the capabilities of local national staff through formal and informal training / mentoring
- Support ESP contract development and tendering process, Contract Accountable Manager (CAM) for ESP contracts.
- Minimum of 18 years industry experience; at least 15 years with ESPs
- Detailed theoretical and practical knowledge of ESP operations and engineering is essential:
- Contract development (Scope of Work)
- Program development (procedures, standards etc.)
- Design and Sizing (Applications)
- VSDs and Power Systems
- Field operations, commissioning and troubleshooting
- Workshop (DIFA, testing etc.)
- ESP packers and bypass systems
- Power feed through systems
- Experience with ESP providers preferred
- Team player, equally able to work on own initiative
- Strong leadership skills, demonstrated by senior supervisory and/or managerial roles
- A proven ability to coach, train and mentor national staff to international standards
- International, multi-cultural working experience, preferably in the Middle East
- A flexible approach to working in a dynamic environment
