Contract: Commercialisation Manager / Seoul

Duration:Contract - 12 months

The Role:
Having recently extended activities in Korea to include participation in hydrogen business related activities as part of the Hydrogen economy, this International Company is seeking to engage a Commercialisation Manager on an initial 12 Month Contract basis.
The role will be based in Seoul (No Visa Sponsorship available)
The Position will be responsible for a number of activities relating to H2Net in Korea, including:
* Participation, monitoring and reporting on activities and regular meetings
* Identification of key decisions and coordination of internal mandates
* Weekly internal updates
* Maintaining an 'Issues register' and an 'Opportunity Register'
* Maintaining a 'Compliance register' for any commitments relating to H2Net and other Korean hydrogen initiatives
* Budget monitoring and reporting
Development and implementation of hydrogen sourcing/production strategy:
* Short-term hydrogen sourcing strategy
* Long-Term hydrogen production/sourcing strategy
* Support approach to hydrogen purchase and sales pricing
* Identification of hydrogen sourcing/production partnerships and opportunities
* Working with analysts to monitor and project future Korean hydrogen supply and demand
Identification and initial assessment of opportunities to grow hydrogen participation in Korea:
* Hydrogen for transport (small and large)
* Hydrogen fuel cells for power generation
* Approaches implemented in other countries and how they can be implemented in Korea

Monitoring of key Korean legislation, regulation and policy for the hydrogen economy:
* Safety legislation and regulation relating to fuel cells transport and power generation
* Identification of future partners (Korea, Australia and elsewhere) and monitor key Korean activities in other countries (ie SE Asia)
* Focal Point for KOGAS and other MoU outcomes
* Busan University
* Korean shipyards

Identification of key technologies, innovations and other learnings for application in Australia:
* Examples for good practice
* Lessons learnt
* Hydrogen economic models
* Shipyard updates on hydrogen ship design/interest
* Major hydrogen use trends in Korea

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Fluent Korean (Spoken/Written)

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Business development Background with Commercial Acumen
Possess Excellent Client Facing Skills at Senior Level
Engineering skill and capability (in depth understanding of power, transport, chemical equipment)
Project management capability
