Location: Aberdeen

The Role:
Reports to: Lead Legal Counsel

* Assist the Company Secretary in ensuring that all statutory books and registers of the companies are maintained and all statutory filings completed and submitted on a timely basis, in order to meet the requirements of all statutory bodies
* Assist the General Counsel and legal advisors
* Undertake activities relating to third party asset transfer
* Provide legal support in preparation for running/attending data rooms
* Undertake legal research
* Provide legal support to designated departments
* Check and give comments to standard leases
* Check and give comments to standard Confidentiality agreements
* Manage co- ordination of section 29 notices and other notices received through the OGA's PEARS Portal.
* Manage Administration of the PEARS System through the OGA's PEARS Portal.
* Follow-up of IS needs and use. IS correspondent for the department
* Maintenance of the UK chart of companies involving all E&P, downstream, midstream and chemicals UK subsidiaries of the group (contacts, track of information)
* Group Standard, EP15, compliance and co-ordination
* Carry out title due diligence
* Willingly and openly share knowledge and good practice, providing support to all Total Group entities operating in the United Kingdom within the remit of One Total, One Country

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Practical experience of company secretarial work
* Good understanding of the essentials of Company Law
* Excellent written communications skills and basic legal drafting ability
* Expert knowledge of the corporate structure of the UK Group of companies, their directors and officers
* First class administrative and organisation skills to ensure strict deadlines are met
* Ability to act with reasonable degree of autonomy, setting own priorities with regard to day-to-day work requirements
