BIM Specialist / Singapore

WRS is assisting an international multi-disciplinary engineering firm with well known portfolio of projects within the infrastructure sector.


Currently in the look out for BIM Specialist to provide technical support to the design teams as well as to coordinate deliverables from the Contractor and manage submissions to the Client related to 3D models and drawings. You will be key part of the growth strategy for this mega project with opportunities to advance your career in BIM and Information management. This role will report to the Project BIM Manager and Construction Manager.


Contract duration: 2 years (extendable)


Job Description:

• Be the point of contact for all BIM related reporting and inquiries within the designated contract group,
• Provide ongoing support for all BIM authoring applications as part of a wider BIM coordination team working closely with Engineering Team,
• Review Contractor BIM submissions to ensure compliance with specification and contract requirements,
• Update and generate design models and drawings to submit for authority/ tender/design purposes as part of a multi-disciplinary, multi -office project team.
• Coordinate meetings, presentations and manage issues related to the BIM model in liaison with Contractor, Client and project team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree or diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with a focus in process plant and/or waste water treatment projects will be an advantage,
• BCA recognised BIM Management course in Singapore,
• Experience using Bentley AECOsim/Open Buildings/Open Plant software will be an advantage,
• Awareness and experience in administering a Common Data Environment,
• Experience with large multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects in Singapore will be an advantage
• Proficient in BIM modeling using Bentley, Autodesk or similar suite of software,
• BCA recognised BIM qualification (or equivalent qualification such as BRE Academy UK),
• Min 5 years hands on experience on BIM Coordination as part of an engineering consulting firm or main contractor within a project using 3D models,
• General knowledge of clash detection and resolution, authorities' submissions, construction sequencing(4D), quantity take off(5D), and COBie deployment (6D),
• Good communication skills in English (both written and verbal),
• Awareness and practical application of local BIM standards and guidelines,
• Leadership ,teamwork, initiative and flexibility.
