Design Manager - Health Projects / Australia

Established builder is looking to appoint a Design Manager to their business. 

This business is primarily involved in commercial projects to the value of $500m but they are looking for someone with a strong background in Health Projects. 

They are considered in the top tier of the sectors, widely recognised for their in-depth understanding of commercial construction, commitment to clients, and the end product consistently being to the highest of standards. 

As Design Manager, you will essentially be the face of the business, you will be heavily involved from the front end, liaising with the client, the design team and all relevant stakeholders. 

In brief, you will be expected to have extensive experience across all of the below and come with the relevant experience within the Sydney market, coming from a principle contractor.

- Selection and engagement of consultants to produce construction documentation

-Manage consultants and coordinate the documentation process with consultants.  Run design meetings. Follow up issues raised by consultants.

-Seek clarification on design details and client requirements during the documentation process

-Ensure services applications are lodged by consultants

-Obtain building permits

-Hand over documentation to the construction team and assist them during construction on design queries

-Manage client during the design and construction process.

-Run multiple jobs at the same time
