Contract: Planner / Scotland

Location: Aberdeen, Scotland
Duration:Contract - 12 months

The Role:
The Planner will be responsible for maintaining overall project planning and scheduling controls, plans and procedures.

1.Ensure compliance with Major Projects common process & Planning & Scheduling procedure
2. Support Project Schedule Probabilistic Analysis as required working closely with the Lead Planner & Cost Estimating Team
3. Produce & maintain Project Schedule Basis Documents including all relevant benchmarking information
4. Support input to the Project Execution Plan (PEP)
5. Produce Planning procedure including Progress Measurement procedure specific to the Project
6. Develop Project work breakdown structure (WBS)
7. Co-ordinate Project Planning meetings
8. Carry out any Integrated Planning sessions with Project & Functional teams
9. Develop & maintain Project Level 1 schedule
10. Develop and maintain Project Master Control Schedule (MCS) working closely with the delivery area SPA's to develop the MCS including all key Milestones & Interfaces ensuring robust float & allowance management with focus on forecasting accuracy
11. Integration of any wells & subsea scopes
12. Manage the schedule baselining process
13. Develop & maintain plan of company internal deliverables
14. Support the development of Project Coordination Procedures (PCP's) for all contracts & verify contractor compliance to the contractual requirements
15. Produce detailed monthly & weekly Project progress reports
16. Perform detailed review and verification of all contractor schedules & reports
17. Integration of Commissioning plans
18. Interface to Ops Readiness Planning
19. Ensure Project plans are integrated with Asset planning process
20. Ensure gate readiness process is in place & being followed
21. Keep Project Management and Stakeholders informed of any schedule issues & the potential impact on the schedule. Proactively work schedule issues with team members & suggest mitigation plans.
22. Develop scenario & intervention (what-if) schedules as appropriate
23. Interface closely with Cost Engineers to ensure forecasting aligned to the current schedule
24. Ensure Benchmarking & Close-Out data is captured throughout Projects Lifecycle
25. Participate & support the Management of Change (MoC) & Risk Management Project processes

1 Adhere to Engineering and Projects (E&P) Segment financial, business and project processes
2 Provide all necessary schedules to ensure the development of proper estimates and cost forecasts within a project stage
3 Coordinate and develop appropriate internal and external schedule benchmarks and technical limits
4 Work extensively with Primavera P3 and Maximo scheduling tools
5 Implement and monitor schedules within each sub-project
6 Analyse and monitor progress against milestones and associated deliverables
7 Develop, maintain and periodically issue associated progress curves, completing estimates, earned value, etc
8 Mentor and coach others on schedule controls to aid project delivery
9 Perform other associated duties as assigned

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential / Preferred Experience:
* Experience in Project Planning role
* Experienced working in EPC Project environment
* Experience of Topsides (Brownfield) scope
* Experienced Primavera P6 Practitioner
