THE ROLE

I am seeking a Project Co-ordinator in the Building Construction industry who has good or fluent German plus English to join a firm of construction consultants in their Berlin office.

My client is working on a range of projects for logistics buildings, warehouses and some offices both for new build and fit out.

You will work on projects from feasibility to project delivery and you will deal with international clients through to contractors on site. You will also get involved in doing Technical Due Diligence and monitoring.

There may be some requirement to work in other parts of Germany although your base will be in Berlin.

THE COMPANY

My client is a succesful firm of construction consultants working closely with large clients.

They currently have three offices (two in the UK and one in German) and are expanding further.

They work on projects across the U.K. and Germany mainly for large international clients.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be hold a Degree in a construction related subject e.g. Construction Management, Construction Project Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Civil Engineering etc.

You will need to have gained several years post graduation experience in a building construction related role and have gained at least some project co-ordination experience ideally have gained experience of both pre contract and post contract delivery.

Experience of being the interface between the client, consultants and contractors is required.

You will ideally have been working for another firm of building construction consultants to have gained project management experience from feasibility to delivery.

Any experience of Technical Due Diligence and monitoring would be useful.

Previous experience of working on logistics buildings or warehouses would be useful.

You will need fluent or very good written and spoken German. Good English is also required.

Good communication skills are essential.

Support will be given if you are not already chartered.

Excellent prospects for ambitious candidates within their new Berlin office and an opportunity for promotion as my client is growing. Salary is negotiable according to experience but in the region of Euro 60000 to 75000 per annum plus bonus.
