Project Manager / Australia

This privately-owned organisation has been a key driver in the growth of Victoria’s economy over the last twenty years, creating over 2,000 jobs and handling over $5bn worth of assets. After an instrumental project win, they are now looking to create a new project team in order to facilitate it’s delivery.

This role requires a commercially astute Project Manager to lead the front end of the project whilst reporting into the overall Project Director. You’ll be responsible for the design development, strategic project and program management plans and overall delivery management of this $60m+ industrial project, ensuring that all commercial business practices are completed smoothly and on time.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Successfully deliver the project from pre-construction through to hand over
• Deliver the project in accordance to building specifications, standards and manage the specific contractual requirements
• Manage tender interviews, letting of contracts; including subcontractor negotiations
• Manage the financial responsibility of the project
• Generate construction programmes to ensure detailed planning of safety, resources, time, costs and quality

  
Skills and Achievements:
  

• Bachelor of Construction Management, Engineering or property related qualification
• 7 to 15 plus years of end to end project management on building or client side projects
• Previous experience managing large scale ($50mil+) projects is essential, ideally within the industrial space
• Strong all round project management skills, with a strong background in stakeholder management, construction delivery and commercial acumen
• Previous client side project management experience would be advantageous
