PROCUREMENT MANAGER
Work Location: Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia
Rotation: 6 weeks/ 2 weeks off

Responsibilities

Overall administration of the Procurement Department to meet the procurement requirements in the Contract
Ensure that the procurement work is performed in accordance with Aker Solutions AS and Company’s ethical principles.
Manage and plan the procurement work in a matter that ensure equipment and materials to be timely ordered in order be delivered to site within agreed time, and that vendor information is available in accordance with the engineering schedule.
Ensure commercial awareness in the procurement process.
Ensure budget monitoring of all purchased equipment and materials.
Direct and manage the department
Establish the department organization structure and ensure adequate staffing.
Ensure preparation and implementation of a procurement strategy
Ensure that relevant procedures are prepared and implemented
Participate in establishing a Procurement Milestone Plan.
Participate in establishing cost estimates for procurement packages incl packages for Long Lead Items.
Participate in the project management team.
Report status of the procurement work regularly to Project Manager and Company.
Ensure that relevant parts of a material management system is implemented.
Guidance, management, planning and follow up the flow of equipment / materials as necessary to comply with the Project’s plans
Ensure preparation of purchasing documents required for execution of the Work in accordance with the Project’s plans.
Liaison with Company in procurement matters and ensure Company’s approval of procurement documents, in accordance with the Contract’s requirements.
Interfaces and co-ordination
Engineering Disciplines, Planning, Cost Control / Estimating, Document Control, Company
 
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years working experience in the same role within Oil Gas industry
Engineering, Commercial or economical education with good additional technical comprehension, or vice versa.
Negotiation skills (experience, training)
Knowledge of ERP system (SAP, JD Edwards, …)
