Plant Automation Engineer - Chemicals- Cheshire £50-55k
A growing chemical manufacturer with a global footprint, are currently seeking to identify a Plant Automation Engineer, to support the phased implementation of a major upgrade to their site DCS system.
In a position of significant responsibility, as part of the wider scope of the position, you will generate and maintain standards in the field of automation. Such standards include software maintenance, plant automation and batch processing.
Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate an in depth knowledge & understanding of ABB 800xA in a process manufacturing environment, while familiarity with a range of SCADA, PLC and DCS equipment in batch processing is deemed essential.
Based at their Top Tier COMAH chemical manufacturing site in the Cheshire area, this is a demanding but exciting opportunity to join a profitable and forward thinking business during an interesting time of their site development, with a defined path for progression in the future, as part of a succession programme on site.

Essential
- Degree in Automation/ C&I / Electrical Engineering or similar
- Experience working in a chemical or similar process manufacturing environment
- Practical experience with ABB 800xA
- Previous experience working in a COMAH environment
- Chartered Engineer
