Our client, a large oil and gas company, is currently seeking a Contracts Advisor for a 1 year contract in Calgary, AB.
Summary:
-The main function of the Contracts Advisor is to develop and implement contract strategies as well as provide leadership in the contracting process.
Responsibilities:
-Develop, manage and administer the Annual Contract and Procurement Plan.
-Provide expertise on contracting and procurement matters.
- Facilitate the sourcing process and RFP development.
-Evaluate and develop contracts to ensure business needs are met and in compliance with policies and procedures.
-Direct bid analysis, contractor selection and contract negotiation.
-Establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal stakeholders to address their needs.
-Understand how contracting supports Category Management and Invoice processing.
-May be asked to participate in the management and direction of junior members of the team.
Qualifications:
-3+ years’ experience in Supply Chain Management within the Oil and Gas industry, preferable for an exploration & production company.
-Experience in a category management and/or contracting required.
-Excellent analytical, negotiation and influencing skills.
-Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and with multi-disciplinary teams.
-Self-starter, motivated to initiate projects / conversations and new ideas in problem solving.
-Demonstrates pro-active, collaborative approach with ability to build positive relationships within department and organization.
-Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing work priorities and deliver high quality, accurate work with multiple deadlines.
-Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

-Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain/Logistics, Procurement/Sourcing or related discipline.
