PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Be a business consultant to the European and International Markets business through the provision of customer insights (primary and secondary market research, as well as performance reporting and competitive intelligence ) to enable better decision making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess the primary and secondary market research needs of the Respiratory Marketing teams in our European and International Markets business;
• Provide for both the primary and secondary market research needs of the stakeholders;
• Manage relationship with market research vendors;
• Interpretation of customer insights and translation into actionable recommendations;
• Provision of competitive intelligence to stakeholders to support strategic decisions;
• Work alongside Reporting & Analytics team to provide periodic performance reporting and add value through the provision of insight and recommendation; Creates value by adding own and synthesizing groups' insights into actionable reports with insights from the results, the "why" of the visual information.
• Provide accurate and reliable quantitative and qualitative market data according to the needs of stakeholders
• Work alongside the forecasting group to provide input into product forecast through your expert market knowledge;
• Play an active role in both short and long term planning processes;
• Acting as a key point of contact for all aspects of customer insight & analytics (HQ & and local markets);
• Interactions and relationship management with external providers of market data and research providers
• Conduct situational analysis for the Marketing teams to provide an objective and detailed understanding of current and future markets, product performance, customers, and competitors to inform product life cycle management, support the commercialization of pipeline assets and guide product and disease area strategy;
• Build strong relationships with internal partners and be an ambassador for the Customer Insights & Analytics Team.

Knowledge/QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Commerce, or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in customer insights/ market research, preferably within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or related environment;
• Experience in Pharmaceutical headquarters;
• Experience and good level of skill in interpretation and analyses of data (IQVIA sales, pricing and patient data);
• Accuracy and high level of attention to details;
• Excellent planning, organization and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects;
• High level of skill in using business software applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint;
• Analytical thinker with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
• Dynamic, pro-active and flexible personality;
• Strong communication and presentation skills;
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced environment;
• Fluency in English, both oral and written;
• Strategic thinking;
• Business acumen;
• Willing to travel (no more than 20% of time).
