Job Purpose:


This job role is to provide safety support to projects / zones through the laison with project management team members. Ensure the integrated management system (IMS) project execution plans are executed in accordance with set schedules / standards and assist in facilitating ongoing regulatory compliance with all applicable legal, contractual and regulatory requirements and obligations.  ISO protocols, procedures and supporting documentation from all JV partners for all businesses within the operational zones of IMI-MRO in compliance with critical ISO standards.
Personnel will work closely with all levels within the company and interested parties site to ensure corporate OH&SE targets and objectives are met.

Primary Accountabilities
 
Accountable to provide safety support through the implemention, and maintenance of the Integrated Management System (IMS) with ISO protocols, procedures and supporting documentation from all JV partners for all businesses within IMI-MRO in compliance with critical ISO standards

Acountable for the planning and management of the assurance occupational, health, safety and environmental functions for IMI. Work directly with Management and site Management teams to ensure the company works to a world class safety culture focused on continuous improvement through the use and implementation of a OH&SE management system and programs into the daily business activities and functions. 

Ensure that all organizational specific OH&SE risks and opportunities are identified, assessed and that appropriate risk management plans PTD / TRA / HAZID / HAZOPS are implemented.
 
Accountable to strive to eliminate duplicative efforts in managing the health safety, environmental function and to seek solutions which increase the efficiency and effectiveness of IMI occupational health, safety environmental management operational team.  Ensure adequate means of distributing and communicating health, safety and welfare information obtained for the OH&SE Safety organisations and in Kingdom associations regarding new techniques of accident prevention, new legislation requirements and codes of practice
 
Acountable to the GM – HSEQ for all matters relating to operational control for occupational health, safety, environmental by utilising  HSE metrics,  schedules, resources, budget, corporate risk management, performance target setting, evaluation and reporting of the welfare of employees and those affected by the companies operations
 
Accountable as the IRCA Lead Auditor on and off site for the IMS Operational Safety Management System audits. Verifiy internal compliance with corporate and vertical standards through systematic inspections and corrective feedback
 
Accountable to develop and maintain an integrated, competent, and motivated OH&SE Organization, providing an environment for integration of standardization and collaboration with all OH&SE resources (Department and Verticals). 

To ensure that good communications, consultation participation of workers exist between employer and employees and that they are maintained.
 
Job Requirements
 
Qualified to MSc level in Occupational Safety and Health. NEBOSH Diploma / NEBOSH General Certifcate.

An accomplished safety professional with more than 23 years of progressive advancement in occupational health, safety, environmental with a continuous record of success driving safety management and capitalising on opportunities that have led to safer operations

A Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Health (CMIOSH). 
IRCA registered auditor in the following disciplines. 
Principal Auditor QMS 9001:2015 Quality, EMAS ISO 14001:2015 - Environmental, Lead Auditor OH&S 45001:2018 Safety Systems. 
Level 3 Assessing competence in the work environment


(K) CMIOSH – Competent Person who has the necessary proven skills, experience and knowledge to manage health and safety.
(K) Lead Auditor QMS 9001:2015 Quality, EMAS ISO 14001:2015 - Environmental, ISO 45001:2018 OH&S: Safety Systems.   
(K) Level 3 Assessing competence in the work environment.
(K) Knowledge of KSA regulations and relevant international standards EPIC and Maritime operations.
(K-S-A) Competent understanding and communication of IMI OH&SE management systems and their implementation in respect to industrial/maritime yards and project operations.
(K-S-A) Practice and lead the processes of hazard analysis, hazard identification, HAZOP studies.
Possess working knowledge of  incident investigation techniques such as the PHA, Bow-Tie, Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
(S) Good communicator.

Additional Requirement: 

Lead, direct and oversee multi site OH&SE operation safety for fabrication & construction EPIC / Ship – MRO – floating and dry dock operations. Leading to significant consistant reductions of operational safety incidents
LTI / MTC / RWC / FAC.
Dedicated to lifelong learning whilst directing multi-site operations on the development and co-ordination of safety management, quality and environmental pollution prevention standards. 
Constant and active engagement on the integrated promotion of process occupational health and safety, which has set a positive, safety culture and rigour in leadership.
Specialise in the development training for OH&SE employees to NEBOSH / OH&SE / IRCA international standards.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work with cross-functional groups and people of diverse nationalities.
High level of integrity and ethical behavior – sets good example.
Performance/delivery orientated.

Assurance and OH&SE partnerships with clients, suppliers/subcontractors and promote OH&S leadership within the Industry. 

 

All line Managers to ensure that OH&SE is an integral part Management responsibilities and objectives.

Interact effectively with customers, vendors, regulatory representatives, industry peers, IMI personnel at all levels and represent IMI at OH&SE industry and regulatory functions.
