Quantity Surveyor – German Speaking / Germany

THE ROLE

I am seeking a Quantity Surveyor in the Building Construction industry who has fluent English and some German to join a firm of construction consultants to work in BERLIN, GERMANY

You are likely to have a Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or other construction / built environment Degree.

You may be from graduate quantity surveyor or assistant level with a year or more experience or more senior.

You will do both pre contract and post contract work so a background in private practice quantity surveying is required.

You will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects including offices, hotels, residential and retail for fit out, refurbishment and new build.

My client will also send you for German language lessons to improve your German if you have a basis of the language.

My client is a small and friendly firm of construction consultants who are expanding with a good range of international and local clients.

They have an office in Berlin and work on projects in other parts of Germany too.

They have a good range of international clients doing very high value projects.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager, with fluent English and some German.

They ideally seek an ambitious Quantity Surveyor who may come from a firm of construction consultants with good client facing and good organisation skills. They would also take a Graduate or Assistant Q.S.

You will need to have a Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or similar and you may be a graduate or assistant or even intermediate level.

You will work closely with a Senior QS on projects of high value.

Some German is essential at GCSE, or similar level as a minimum.

Excellent prospects for ambitious candidates to work closely with clients and the professional teams.

Salary is negotiable according to level of experience.
