Associate Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager / England

THE ROLE

I am now seeking an ASSOCIATE QUANTITY SURVEYOR who is MRICS qualified to join a firm of PQS in the City of London.

A background working for another UK firm of PQS or multi disciplinary consultants is essential.

This firm is continually making and suggesting improvements in the construction industry and likes candidates who can “think outside the box” and who are interested in the bigger picture.

You will be involved in pre and post contract work across a range of projects which are largely residential led for “buy to let”, student accommodation, mixed use, luxury one off houses, and more. Some commercial projects too.

You should be able to manage other QS’s, be the key contact with major clients, and have excellent technical skills and overall knowledge of the construction industry.

THE CLIENT

My client is a firm of construction consultants offering clients a range of services including quantity surveying, project management etc.

They have a good variety of projects for new build, refurbishment and fit out across a wide variety of clients/

They work closely with known developers, investors, occupiers, landlords etc.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be either a Senior Project Quantity Surveyor and be keen to take the next step up to Associate or your may be an Associate with another firm.

Good pre and post contract experience is required.

You should be able to run your own projects and supervise a other surveyors.

Good client facing skills essential and good report writing skills too. You will ideally have some experience of putting bids together and be keen to represent the firm at networking events.

You will have a stable work record and have worked for a known UK firm of PQS or consultants.

You will be keen to join a firm offering good prospects.

You will work on projects mainly in the London area.

My client pays excellent salaries probably in the region of £70000 to c. £82000 or slightly more per annum plus good range of benefits.
