Mechanical Engineer - Static & rotating equipment (m/f/d)

Main Responsibilities

Assist in drafting project specifications and ensure sound input for all LNG, gas and utility systems in the terminal
Act as focal point for all rotating equipment related matters towards the contractor(s) and/or external parties
Define the owner’s requirements with respect to the machinery directive and ensure correct and timely implementation of same by contractors
Review contractors’ design and ensure compliance with the technical requirements of the contract (work scope, owner’s specifications, codes & standards, etc.)
Monitor contractors’ performance, evaluate potential changes and advise on their significance
Monitor the timely resolution of any pending technical matters and participate in design reviews

Requirements

Degree in mechanical engineering (M.Sc.), with 5 to 15 years’ experience of cryogenic equipment, having a track record of at least one lead engineering role on project of similar nature
In-depth knowledge of cryogenic systems, such as LP/HP pumps, boil-off gas compressors, vaporizers, loading arms, etc. included in the Work
Familiarity with all applicable international codes & standards and European Directives
Team-player with excellent communication skills and ability to write technical reports
Fluent in English language (written and verbal), German is a plus
