Our Client based in Aberdeen, is responsible for delivering quality service, safely, on time, within budget whilst ensuring the technical integrity of onshore and offshore assets. We actively promote the highest standards of HSEQ and at all times act within the Aker Solutions Just Care procedures. The engineering department, consisting of experienced, multi-discipline engineering personnel within one of our ongoing contracts is seeking to strengthen the team through the recruitment of an experienced Senior Instrument Engineer.

              Responsibilities and Tasks:
  • To assist the Lead or Principal engineer in meeting project requirements and performing all technical duties in a highly competent and efficient manner

  • To be aware of and adhere to the the company values, systems and processes including PEM and AKIMS

  • Act in the capacity as Task Lead Engineer when assigned to do so within a project or contract

  • Liaise with other disciplines on design, construction, fabrication and commissioning issues

  • Provide added value to the development of their discipline/function

  • Direct sub-ordinate engineers in their work

  • Overall responsibility for the delivery of multi-discipline and or single discipline engineering modifications / project scope of works within a contract or a project

  • Manage the defined scopes of work provided by the contact / project management team ensuring that the discipline scopes of work are fully defined and in accordance with the client's requirements

  • Accountable for the management of multi-discipline CTR's / man-hours ensuring that the correct levels of productivity are being maintained by involved disciplines

  • Prepare engineering concepts and develop into detail design
Qualifications / Personal Attributes:
  • Sound working knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards

  • Conversant with appropriate technical software

  • Aware of latest technical developments

  • Current Offshore Survival and Medical Certificate

  • Relevant professional experience

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Good team working skills

  • Pro-active attitude

  • Ability to direct and guide engineers and designers
