We are looking for Engineering Manager  to be Based in Paris with 50% travel. 

Qualifications & Licenses

  • BSc. / MSc. / MEng.  or equivalent in Structural(preferred), Chemical or Mechanical
  • Preferably a Registered Professional, Chartered Engineer or member of Professional Engineering Society

Primary Objective 

To perform the role of Engineering Manager in a client oversight team in the supervision of the selected FEED and EPCIC Contractor. This includes taking full responsibility for all assigned overall engineering activities during FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Follow-on Engineering stages, through to offshore facilities installation and final Commissioning and Start-up of the Project.

Key Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 25 years of work experience of which at least 18 years must be directly related to the engineering design, fabrication, installation and hook-up and commissioning of offshore oil and gas production and processing facilities.
  • Minimum 10 years of supervisory experience in the upstream offshore oil and gas industry of which at least 5 years must be in spent in the position of Engineering Manager for offshore platform EPCIC work (add-on to an existing main gas processing platform) including low pressure gas compression modules and extensive brownfield work scope involved.
  • Previously worked on integrated projects with CAPEX in excess of $300MM.
  • Preference for previous experience working for an Oil and Gas Operator in a client oversight team during FEED and EPCIC stages of an offshore project.
  • Preference for previous experience working in Southeast Asia for offshore Oil and Gas projects

Critical Technical Skills and Capabilities

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the design of fixed offshore structures especially for float-over installation method, fabrication specification including WPS & WPQT, sea transportation, offshore installation and offshore HUC for typical offshore oil and gas project as well as brownfield modification work.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of overall offshore oil and gas project engineering process including required data/information for each engineering activity and engineering milestone (HAZID/HAZOP/SIL/3D Modeling review).
  • Must possess a good understanding of the basic discipline work processes of a FEED and EPCIC project
  • Very knowledgeable with a wide variety of national and international standards, especially related to ASME, API, ISO, AISC, ASCE and NORSOK

Position responsibilities 

  • Assist the overall planning and execution of fiscal and administrative functions relating to EPCIC project execution strategy, positively participate, evaluate and follow up on technical issues, risk assessment and rectification of potential hazards/risks, etc.
  • Supervise Company’s engineering team/personnel to ensure the design performed by the contractor is safe for operations and maintenance, optimized, comply with the specifications, codes and standards, and meet the overall project schedule.
  • Be able to evaluate the impacts and risks while discharge his duties especially on matters pertaining to risk assessments, deviation and exception to specifications, codes and standards, and facility’s operability and maintainability.
  • Liaise with Company’s quality, construction and commissioning personnel and assist in the review of work procedures, resolution of technical issues, participate in review workshops and, inspection of work and activities performed by contractor.
  • Keep up to date, coordinate functional roles pertaining to health, safety, environment protection. Comply with responsibilities as defined in the Company’s Health, Safety & Environment Policy and ensure compliance with the same throughout the team.
  • Participate in Design Reviews including HAZOP/CHAZOP/HAZID/SIL/3D model reviews.
  • Review and approve all relevant Technical Queries, Design Changes and Technical Deviation Requests raised by the Contractor in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all project deliverables and activities are delivered in accordance with the project milestone dates
  • Ensure engineering quality, design optimization and constructability of all deliverables and activities which Contractor will perform in assigned site.
  • Interface and liaison with Company’s other functional departments, contractors and agents.
  • Set technical goals and action plan within broad outlines provided by top management.
  • Provide technical support, oversee, monitor, review and endorse Contractors’ work during the installation and HUC stages of the project.
  • Willingness to travel and relocate to work sites including offshore.
