Senior Piping Designer / Scotland

We are looking for a Senior Piping Designer working with a leading engineering company based in Edinburgh. This role is to develop engineering technology and conceptual designs and to manage project works and staff to meet business requirements.

Responsibilities include:

• Organising resources, allocating work and resources, ensuring efficient co-ordination
• Review conformance, progress, identifying problems
• Giving instructions, supervising other engineers and other design staff
• Preparing specifications, anticipating problems, defining objectives
• Making decisions after evaluation, deciding actions, ruling on questions of procedure, reacting to change situations
• Creating / sustaining team sprint, encouraging
• Appreciation of other functional engineering technologies
• Understanding and implementation of project engineering / management
• Development of engineering standards and procedures

Qualifications:

Degree or HNC equivalent required.
