Planning engineer working within the Marine & Subsea planning team. To support the development and integration of schedules from projects in Concept Development through to Execute. Ensure planning activities are delivered timely and to a high standard of quality. Will act as the single point of contact between the project and the M&S planning team.
To coordinate all planning activity for a dedicated project scope within the M&S programme of work, by providing the functional planning interface between Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Marine Installation and the Central Planning Team.
Ensure contractor compliance with contractual planning, scheduling and reporting requirements detailed within the Project Coordination Procedures (PCP).
Produce good quality, robust, salient & succinct written reports and summary presentations - able to use helicopter vision to communicate clarity from complexity.
Maintain the M&S pinch point schedules at the Monthly Integrated Schedule Meeting.
Support the Planning Lead by maintaining the M&S elements of the Integrated plan.
Support the process during project gates & 6 monthly schedule reviews across the M&S Programme.
Recommend and obtain management approval for any project re-baselines and manage the supporting PACN / MOC process.
Provide assurance over contractor developed schedules ensuring progress and forecasting is accurately maintained.
Degree In Engineering or Business
Minimal 10 years construction planning experience on major Oil & Gas projects.
Proven track record of successfully working as part of a team of planning engineers in a project environment, supporting the development of others in the team.
Substantial experience interfacing and working with construction, commissioning, engineering and operations personnel.
Significant experience working with internationally-based contractors.
Membership or Chartered Status of a recognised professional body
Proven track record of working with regional, functional and global project team members with ability to work in a collaborative environment.
