RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accountable to ensure operating divisions achieve timely, cost effective, high-quality results by planning, delegating, coordinating, and collaborating with stakeholders and division team members.
- Oversight of and evaluation of proposals, ensuring submissions meet the organizations financial and non-financial objectives.
- Meet business health & safety performance standards, financial targets, overall division budgets & schedules, client satisfaction/expectations, internal risk management, contractual requirements and ensure we are doing business in a manner that is mindful of our mission.
- Partner with the executive team to ensure the effective development of annual budgets, strategic plans and ensure effective budget monitoring and divisional budgetary compliance.
- Engagement with corporate service leaders, achieving a coordinated efficient, cost-effective and risk-managed operations
- Review and monitor monthly/quarterly statistical and financial reports.
- Manage financial reporting, construction quality, accountability to achieve company's standards.
- Actively mitigate risk on projects by monitoring project reports and progress; engaging with divisional teams to identify solutions when projects get off track; and communicating solutions to the executive team, divisions, and clients.
- Build, grow, and manage a high-performance team, serving as a leader and mentor; identify emerging talent and work with them to reach their full potential; ensure high potential and high performing are nurtured, developed and given new areas of responsibility.
- Drive and promote the mission, culture and strategy within the divisions.
- Is a leader in the promotion and development of a corporate culture based on accountability and execution.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary degree and broad experience pipeline services, civil works, forestry & clearing and matting services.
- In depth knowledge of financial and income statements and P&L management.
- Well-developed technical acumen to lead, oversee, advise and make decisions on construction projects.
- Able to successfully manage multiple projects and multiple priorities as required.
- Well-developed problem solving, facilitation, decision-making, organization, planning and leadership skills.
- A collaborative, team and service-oriented work style.
- Motivated self-starter that works well in fast paced team environments.
- Committed to continuous technical learning and personal development.
- Comprehensive knowledge of contracts and agreements; able to manage contract negotiations and settlements.
- Well-developed network within Alberta.
