Role Description

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist senior engineers developing detailed design packages; perform short circuit, load flow and arc flash studies.

Education:

Have taken and passed the Fundamentals in Engineering Exam
Graduated with a BSEE as a minimum from an ABET Accredited university (Technology degrees are limited to design positions). Please verify that the Electrical Engineering program is ABET accredited (http://www.abet.org/accreditation/ )
Concentration in Electrical Power courses, understands 3-phase and basic electrical power concepts

Experience:

Meaningful internships in engineering
Graduation in 4 to 5 years unless there is a significant reason for a delay (e.g. working and supporting a family through school, changing major, illness, etc.)
Willingness to travel and physical ability to go offshore and safely swing from a rope to a platform – Note: Not required for PTFI projects but may be needed if becomes direct hire for future work other than PTFI
Candidates that want to stay/live in the New Orleans area are preferred
