Embedded Software Engineer – Permanent – Fareham, Hampshire
Embedded Software Engineer ESSENTIAL:- 3+ years’ experience development of real-time embedded software in C or C++. Understanding of electronic systems and electrical theory. Experience of serial bus: including SPI and I2C. Developing and debugging software for micro-controller peripherals and systems, e.g. microcontrollers, boot loaders, interrupt functions, serial interfaces.
Embedded Software Engineer to be able to work with minimal supervision either on your own or within project teams. You may be required to manage projects, this will require you to direct and co-ordinate project activities within the Engineering Department and other areas of the business such as Purchasing, Operations, Sales and Logistics.
Embedded Software Engineer Essential Skills:
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- 3+ years’ experience development of real-time embedded software in C or C++
- Experience of serial bus: including SPI and I2C
- Developing and debugging software for micro-controller peripherals and systems, e.g. microcontrollers, boot loaders, interrupt functions, serial interfaces.
- Understanding of electronic systems and electrical theory
- Excellent communication skills (written/spoken)
- Experience of CAN Bus, DSP platforms, motor control and Embedded Linux
- Full-lifecycle product design: from specification to production
- Sensor theory
- Embedded systems development
