System Designer 
Location: Houston, TX 
Duration: 1 year contract to possbile direct hire 

ROLE PURPOSE

As the Systems Designer you work closely with Engineers and other Designers to accurately interpret the engineering design and ensure the design is accurately captured in the 2D design and/or intelligent piping and instrumentation drawing (P&ID) software. You are responsible for ensuring the design produces fit for purpose results in a functional and organized drawing. As the System Designer you will ensure application of best practices into design work and you are accountable to the Lead Designer and Discipline Manager for overall performance.

 



10 years of experience as a designer

 

Experience should include the ability to:

• draft 2D process, marine, and loss prevention engineering drawings including Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, and Layout Drawings
• be proficient with AutoCAD Software
• be familiar with smart P&ID software including Aveva Diagram
