Your primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Conducting all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures.
- Preparation of an Environment Plan in accordance with agreed schedule, in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts, Environment and third parties (e.g. GIS, oil spill modelers)
- Development of compliance checklists and registers for compliance tracking of Contractor/s in accordance with the Environment Plan
- Assisting in development of annual compliance reports to regulators
- Providing support to the Senior Environmental Approvals and Compliance Advisor as directed
- Undertaking field- based compliance inspections of Contractor/s and vessels and raise compliance concerns internally and with Contractor/s
- Acting as primary point of contact for Subsea Contractor Environmental Representative
- Conducting other activities as directed by the HSE Manager and Environmental Manager
- Supporting development and maintenance of the HSEQ-MS through development and/or revision of guidelines and procedures, as directed
- Supporting timely implementation of HSEQ annual objectives and targets
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Minimum Tertiary Environmental / Science Qualification is desirable.
- Extensive experience in environmental discipline, preferably in the petroleum sector including exposure to interpreting and applying legislative and other legal requirements and with a sound understanding of environmental management processes
- Experience in undertaking environmental inspections and audits on Contractors in an offshore context
- Experience in development of Environment Plans and/or Oil Pollution Emergency Plans, including a working knowledge of key regulatory requirements related to the OPGGS (Environment) Regulations
- Experience in undertaking vessel mobilisation inspections, including inspections related to invasive marine species and an ability to review Contractor documentation for completeness and adequacy against regulatory requirements
- Experience in implementing risk assessment processes, including in relation to new activities and management of change
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, including oral and written communications, and a high level of computer literacy
- Skilled at prioritisation of tasks and problem solving to identify and implement effective solutions to regulatory and other Project challenges
- Willing to travel as required for business both domestically and overseas.
