Senior Quantity Surveyor / Australia

A top tier contractor is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyors to join the Contract Department who have had experience in mega infrastructure projects, specifically with large Tunnelling or Hydro projects.

Key functions will include:
* Manage and deliver design solutions against multiple and complex stakeholder, contract and regulatory requirements
* Support the Contracts Department in appropriately managing:
o Revised bill of quantities
o Take off quantities from Construction Drawings
o The claims and variations
* Prepare monthly internal Work in Progress, calculating the completed work revenue and monitoring the variance between actual and planned revenue
* Prepare forecast revenue distribution base on the latest programme
* Certify monthly Subcontractor applications for payment
* Post- subcontract management including
o Assessing interim payment claims
o Processing variations including pricing & estimating
o Preparation of liabilities, budgets and forecasting
* Working collaboratively with all Project Departments, providing support on relevant contract administration matters
The successful candidate will have the following skill set:
* Experienced Quantity Surveying professionals from within a contracting environment
* At least 10 years experience working in a similar role
* Proficient in materials take-off and preparation of bills of quantity
* Experience in managing claims, variations and payment authorisation
* Able to manage effective relationships with the client, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
* Sound understanding of Contract Law, Subcontractor agreements and Project Deeds
* Relevant Tertiary qualifications
* Design & Construct project delivery
* Ideally with specific experience working with design and construct contracts
