ACCOUNTABILITIES

Assist the development of best in class operational processes to improve performance and increase competitive advantage.
Deliver training of critical operational processes to the offshore leadership and supervisory team.
Facilitate workshops across Field Operations stakeholders to communicate changes and align roles and responsibilities.
Coach offshore staff in the new ways of working to ensure sustainable change is achieved.

ACTIVITIES
  • Partner closely with Business Process Owners and Project Leads to identify, design and deliver Field Operations projects to improve safety, production and/or cost initiatives.
  • Support in the end to end delivery of business projects from base lining, designing, piloting, training, deploying and post-implementation support.
  • Assist in the development of business cases, project charters, baseline measurements and other deliverables required for the base lining of a project.
  • Facilitate or participate in as-is / to-be process mapping workshops, gap analysis workshops and other meetings in order to ensure that the gap is understood and the solution is clearly defined.
  • Co-build the new processes with the organization to ensure that they are aligned with industry best practices, LEAN, simple and aligned with the overall objectives of our client and field operations.
  • Assist in the development of roll out plans and all aspects of associated change management, communicating and training needs fit for purpose with the new processes.
  • Support the Project Leader in the development and implementation of new tools, forms, quick reference guides and any other material required as part of the new process implantation.
  • Develop and provide detailed content to the training material to ensure the level of change is adequately described and easy for the end users to understand.
  • Deliver training to onshore and offshore supervisors and leaders to ensure the new or changed process, roles and responsibilities and roles are clearly understood.
  • Conduct audits and monitor performance of new processes to ensure compliance with Company standards.
  • Track the effectiveness of the new processes to ensure the LEAN objectives have been achieved, inefficiencies have been eliminated, non-productive time has been reduced and process is optimized.
  • Formally hand over the processes to the Business Process Owner with a clear and agreed set of further and future improvements to be managed by the organization.
  • Build capability and capacity within the organization through coaching and mentoring team members in the use of process improvement and change management tools, frameworks and methodologies.
  • Provide Program Manager with regular reporting, analysis and comments on performance and results.

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT

The job holder is responsible for the assisting in the design and delivery of strategic operational improvement projects to ensure the Field Operations is providing a competitive advantage to its shareholders.
Key skills of this position is the ability to influence business decision making and influence the behavior of individuals outside direct reporting lines by simplifying and communicating business processes and inspiring offshore site management to actively engage and interact with the processes.
The position is a 4 week on and 4 week off rotational based, with regular time expected in the head office in Doha.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bsc in Engineering or similar discipline
  • Min. 10 years’ experience in Upstream Oil and Gas within the Production or Maintenance Discipline
  • Min. 5 years’ experience working in an offshore environment within a Senior Leadership role
  • Min. 5 years’ experience in transformational change projects and business process re-engineering
  • Min. 5 years’ experience coaching and driving improved operational performance
  • Expert in managing complex organizational changes within upstream Oil and Gas
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage time and multiple commitments/projects at the same time
  • Proven ability to influence business decision making and influence behaviors and ways of working
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Self-motivated individual with a results-oriented mindset and high attention to detail
  • Ability to set and implement operational objectives, drive performance and foster a performance culture
  • Highly motivated, flexible in approach and with a proactive and positive mindset
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
