Seeking Electrical Engineer!
Description: This entry-level position is responsible for, under direct supervision, performing routine aspects of electrical engineering assignments requiring basic knowledge of engineering principles. Researches and tests the installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for company use.
Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities
Prepares technical drawings and specifications of electrical systems, to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and operating requirements.
Operates computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment to perform engineering tasks.
Confers with engineers, Field personnel or others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects
Assists with construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or requirements.
Maintains electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems.
Prepares specifications for purchases of materials or equipment and tracks costs for new construction.
Performs detailed calculations to compute and establish construction or installation standards or specifications.
Attends project meetings to provide insight of electrical progress and logistical planning.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Demonstrate basic computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office applications. Able to learn company specific applications.
Able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects in order to meet established deadlines.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Able to work effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts.
Able to effectively abide company policies, procedures, and technology.
Able to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team.
Able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Required Job Specific Knowledge
Basic knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of the oil and gas industry.
Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Basic knowledge and prediction of physical principles, law, their interrelationships, and applications to electrical equipment and processes.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
Ability to perform routine engineering assignments, under direct supervision.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. and Certification
Required Education, Licenses and Certifications
Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university - Required
Engineering from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) program, OR
Professional Engineer (PE) license, OR
Master’s degree - from accredited university, OR
Master’s of Engineering degree from a program in which the correlating Bachelor’s degree is accredited by the ABET EAC
Work Experience: 0-2+ Related work experience
Work schedule is 5 days per week, 8 -12 hours per day.
Site: Cotulla Field Office
Truck will need to be issued.
