Our client - a Oil & Gas Operating Company is looking for a position of Rotating Equipment Engineer.
Working closely with the Offshore teams to develop procedures and ensure the
safe and timely installation and troubleshooting of all major Rotating Equipment.
Prepare and review procedures for the repair and overhaul of mechanical
equipment for use by mechanical maintenance staff.
The role will involve frequent visits to client offshore platforms, workshops and vendor facilities.
Act as an advisor to offshore operations team in rotating equipment matters.
Provide a lead role in mechanical equipment failure investigations (Root Cause Analysis).
Interface with workshops, vendors and Original Equipment Manufacturer
(OEMs) regarding equipment overhauIZrepair both in house and at external repair facilities. Liaise with both vendor and CLIENT repair facilities for
improvement of repaired equipment.
Research, validate and implement best practices in mechanical maintenance techniques.
Review spares availability and tooling to enable major overhauls to be carried out. Review installed equipment for any value adding upgrades.
Review new equipment to ensure it is fit for purpose.
Interface with engineering department to ensure maintainability of equipment is considered when specifying, procuring and installing new or replacement
Ensure that core values, overall value in business results and long term asset integrity principles are applied in all aspects of maintenance work.
Actively participate in regular meetings chaired by the Operations Support
Team Managers to ensure that equipment repairs/overhauls are aligned through the integrated schedule to support CLIENT business goals.
Coordinate and provide leadership for planning of scheduled outages to
ensure best use of downtime while minimizing losses.
Provide rotating equipment technical support to CLIENT workshops.
Educated to HNC/HND or equivalent standard in mechanical engineering- based discipline.
10 years, preferably working as Field Service Engineer, minimum experience of mechanical and rotating equipment maintenance, condition monitoring and
control system interfaces.
OEM trained in the installation and removal of Centrifugal barrel type compressors.
Knowledge of operating and maintaining rotating equipment to include Rolls Royce, Dresser Rand, Solar & GE, together with knowledge of power and process equipment.
Experience in the use of Oracle Management System would be an advantage.
