I'm looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join an ever expanding business in the East Manchester area. They're a main contractor and as they enter their busiest ever time they will need a new member of staff to Quantity Survey and spearhead their new housing projects in and around the North West.
What they aren't doing is growing for growing sake. They spend time and resource on their tenders and getting the right projects in for the right people in the business and don't bite off more than they can chew. That means now they'll be looking for a Quantity Surveyor like you (experience in house-build be it open market or contractor side) to come in and manage some of the new contracts they've won and others that are pending.
One of the reasons they allow the business to grow organically is the Directors and MD's have pretty much been at the company since day dot, they know what works but aren't afraid to bring the right people into the business to push forward. They can make decisions together that they've been making the last 15 plus years and make sure they get the right people for the right projects.
In fact, they've just brought a new Contracts Manager into the Operational side who has a mass of experience and will really help them get to where they want to be in the next 12-18 months. He's got a fantastic name in the industry and already knows alot of the projects that the contractor have won due to his standing in his last role. More than likely as a Quantity Surveyor you'll be working alot of this projects so it's a great opportunity to work with someone with a vast knowledge.
If you think you can help them and be part of this exciting period of growth and if you feel like you'd fit into an independent business who value their projects but also value your time as an employee then call me. They offer great benefits (healthcare cash plan, 12% car allowance, bonus on project delivery, 25 days holiday rising to 28), pension and a good salary in line with projects being undertaken).
