THE CLIENT:
We are working exclusively with a market leader in the rolling stock and locomotive manufacturing industry, operating across the Northeast and North America, with a worldwide presence in the Rail & Transportation industry. The business has seen significant growth in recent years and is committed to continuing this trend.

THE ROLE:
*The positions will run and be responsible for the domestic and international sales from various offices across the Northeast region.
*The candidate will have to grow sales drastically through obtaining new customer base as well as developing existing customer base and upselling.
*Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities as well as directing sales forecast activities.
*Products include passenger and freight locomotives, systems and components such as bogies, dampers and motors.
*Selling into the global mass transit and freight rail industry.
*Develops product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategies.
*Tracks and analyses profit/loss ratio and market share by customer and product group.
*The successful candidate has potential to progress into a VP of Sales role subject to performance.

THE REQUIREMENTS:
*The candidate must have a proven background in achieving sales targets and at least 8 years experience in sales.
*Minimum of a Bachelors degree is required.
*Previous experience in a management role.
*Extensive network of contacts across the US and internationally, with previous experience working in the US.
*Railroad industry experience, including knowledge of rolling stock (passenger and/or freight), components and systems.
*Strong understanding of current railroad market within the US and a preference for international knowledge or experience.
*Fluency in English is required, fluency in a second European language is preferred.
