The Oil and Gas Operator client is recruiting a People and Organisation Co-ordinator based in their London offices on a long-term contract.
Job Description:
• Divide time across broad UK HR Operations activities and support to the Renewables business area working closely with the PO Leader for Renewables North Sea Region in the UK, as well as with a broader team of PO Leaders supporting other business areas present in the clients UK business.
• Provide first level HR advisory support to Employees and Business Leaders on a variety of HR topics in accordance with Company policies and procedures using the Company’s ticketing/HR service system,
• Support coordination of annual HR deliveries where required with the PO Leaders and specialist PO competence centers (HR centers of excellence)
• Contribute towards a broad range of HR projects and operational HR deliveries at various levels in collaboration with stakeholders within the clients People and Organisation network, with a special focus on the Renewables business area, where the position is partially tagged.
• Document HR processes and procedures for continuous improvement as a member of the PO Advisory Competence Centre working in the UK Country framework, ensuring alignment between business areas
• Active member of the Emergency Response team
• Other ad-hoc tasks as required
Qualifications:
• Part or full CIPD qualified at level 3 or 5 (or equivalent qualification)
• Strong HR generalist capabilities acquired through experience in a fast-paced HR department with focus on a UK based workforce
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools including proven ability to work with and manipulate datasets
• Experience of providing HR support to an onshore (office-based) and offshore (wind farm based) workforce, or blue-collar or operational personnel in the UK
• An understanding of UK apprenticeships, or experience administering apprenticeships in previous roles
• Experience using ServiceNow or similar HR services platforms
• Robust understanding of GDPR and data protection principles
• A basic understanding of employment law and immigration requirements and its application in the workplace
• Experience working with SAP or other People Management systems
• Experience in a HR Coordinator/Analyst/Advisor role is preferred
Personal qualities:
• Ability to strictly adhere to safety and security guidelines – I AM SAFETY
• A proactive, self-motivated and delivery-oriented team player with an interest in the UK energy industry and energy transition
• An effective communicator with strong oral and written communication skills
• Proven ability to multitask on various projects and deliveries across the HR value chain
• Strong eye for detail with the ability to structure and organize data and information
• Strong time management skills with the ability to balance multiple, conflicting priorities
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within a global and virtual PO team, and with stakeholders in a complex matrix organization
• Understanding of diversity and inclusion in the UK context and ability to explain and champion this within the business
• A digital mindset with a curiosity for new technology and the ability to coach and champion digital ways of working
• Willingness to travel domestically (Norfolk & Aberdeen), with the potential overseas trips which may include overnight stays and short period working from other locations
