An oil and gas major currently require a Land Manager for a major capital project to be based in Basra, Iraq on a 28*28 rotation, 12 month renewable contract.
The Land Manager will reports into the Facilities Manager and is member of the Facilities Management Leadership Team; Responsible for the activities related to the UXO management and land management inside and outside the concession; Maintaining an accurate and timely updated information database; Represents the department and manages the relationship with stakeholders.
Other duties include design, develop and implement methods of operation for the Department, managing the compliance of all functioning processes, procedures and protocols in line with the department scope of responsibility; Compliance with International Codes e.g. Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD); Manage the relationship with demining Governmental Entities at Regional and Country levels; Manage the land management team; Manage GIS data information for Unexplored Ordnance (UXO) clearance and in line with International standards, namely IMSMA; Advise on best use and practise of land management; Identify suitable locations for future expansion; Liaison with specialized contractor for munitions clearing, identify areas which have been made safe to operate and provide proof of clearance for assurance of construction; Notify potential land owners and users regarding limitations, restrictions or caveats of areas; Deliver reports based on field investigations, surveys, assessments, planning and neighbouring activities to potential land owners; and develop legal land allocation credentials.
You will have 10 years experience working in a similar role; be conversant in GIS and proficient in Unexplored Ordnance (UXO) issues; Previous oil and gas industry experience; Previous middle east experience will be highly desirable.
