Function description

At this moment, we are in search of a skilled 2^nd Engineer for a project in the Singapore. This role is designated for a specific project starting from the 21^st of March to the 28^th of April 2024. The primary duties of a 2^nd Engineer on a Rock Dumping Vessel involve maintenance, repair, and operation of the ship's machinery and equipment to ensure the vessel's safe and efficient performance.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervision: Overseeing the work of the engineering team and coordinating tasks related to the vessel's engines, propulsion systems, and auxiliary machinery.
2. Maintenance and Repair: Ensuring that all machinery and equipment are properly maintained and promptly addressing any mechanical issues or breakdowns. This includes routine inspections, troubleshooting, and coordinating necessary repairs.
3. Watchkeeping: Taking turns with other engineering officers to maintain a continuous watch on the engine room, monitoring systems, and responding to any emergencies or changes in operating conditions.
4. Record-keeping: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, fuel consumption, and other relevant data. This documentation is crucial for compliance with maritime regulations and for future reference.
5. Training and Safety: Ensuring that the engineering team is trained on safety procedures and follows proper protocols. Conducting drills and exercises to prepare for emergency situations.

Requirements

• OGUK medical & Bosiet Certificate
• Offshore experience as a 2^nd Engineer
• Additional offshore experience is a valuable asset
• EU Passport due to location of the project
