Quantity Surveyor / England

A well established roofing contractor are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team with expertise in both pitch and flat roofing. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable roofing company and contribute to a wide range of exciting projects with values of between £600k to £1.3 million.

Overview:

As a Quantity Surveyor specializing in roofing, you will play a vital role in managing the financial aspects of their roofing projects, from inception to completion. Reporting to the Commercial Director you will work closely with their project teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and detailed valuations for roofing projects.

Monitor project costs and budgets throughout the lifecycle of each project, identifying cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.

Administer contract documentation, including variations, claims, and final accounts, in compliance with contractual requirements.

Collaborate with project managers and site teams

Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, ensuring clear communication and effective negotiation.

Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, with specific expertise in roofing projects, including both pitch and flat roofing.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is desirable but not essential.
