Project Manager (Construction, Fit-out, refurbishment) / Malaysia

An experienced and enthusiastic Project Manager is required to join a well established British owned and managed fit out and refurbishment company based in Malaysia.

Role

You will have proven experience as a successful Project Manager within interior fit-out and refurbishment. You should have worked on projects with a value between £10m and £20m. You should be confident at dealing with people and possess the skills to communicate confidently and effectively with end user clients and consultants.

They are looking for someone who is looking at making this a long term move as the role comes with the potential of moving upto Construction Director after a year. Therefore they are looking for a Project Manager who comes with drive and commitment to the future success of the company.

The Project

The project is due to commence on site within the next two months and is valued at £10m and is a 20,000 sq metre fit out over 8 floors office for a blue chip client. The location of the scheme is in Penang which is known for its natural beauty and food.

As a Project Manager your experience will include the following:

• Experience within the fit-out and refurbishment industry, and some experience of new build would be an advantage
• Project size between £10m and £20m

Day to day duties include:

• Responsibility for delivery of the scheme
• Overseeing programme
• Cost control
• Quality and safety
• Contract correspondence
• To represent the company at monthly progress meetings, design meetings, internal cost meetings, safety meetings etc
