Job description.

Responsible for Project & Programme management and oversight activities at on site.
Acts as an advisor to the Field Managers and other senior management on efficiency and project initiatives to feed into budgeting, scheduling and operations planning
Delivers strategic advice on safety, schedule, cost and quality for all planned project activities
Involved in the analysis of commercial proposals – acting as the Project Management lead/interface
Co-ordinates projects, plans and objectives across a wide range of activities
Management Advises staff on Process Safety Programs, Management Systems, Compliance Issues to meet Groupement Berkine (GB) objectives.
Provides guidance to and oversight of Process Safety Engineers within GB to ensure best in class arrangements are in place for both project and operations activities.
Works closely with the Shutdown, maintenance & Engineering groups
Analysis processes and procedures with GB to look for improvement opportunities across a wide range of operations, project, maintenance and planning activities.

Requirements:

Strong preference for a candidate with a degree level qualification (BEng, CEng, BSc or MSc) in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering – but if engineering qualification is held below degree level, a formal Project Management qualification in addition is preferred.
Project Management skills - extensive experience in Facilities Engineering, Plant Operations. Petroleum production facility design and operation knowledge, control systems and safety systems.
Will have experience of commissioning and construction projects.
Must have broad, international experience in a wide variety of oil and gas and/or chemical processing facilities.
Ideally will have experience working for both Operators/Clients and on the Service Company / Supplier side.
English language skills are required – French and/or Arabic skills in addition would be advantageous
