Offshore Drilling Logistics Coordinator / Australia

Our client a Global Oil and Gas Operator in Perth are currently seeking a FIFO Offshore Drilling Logistics Coordinator for a 6 month contract.

3X3 OFFSHORE ROSTER
6 MONTH CONTRACT

Supervision and coordination of logistics operations on drilling rig providing support for drilling, completions and subsea operations.
The role is critical in ensuring logistics operations on the drilling rig are conducted effectively for timely and correct provision of personnel, equipment and materials to the drilling rig to prevent extremely high cost interruptions to rig operations. As drilling is a 24/7 operation, the role requires the incumbent to be on call at all reasonable times to respond to urgent requests.     

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supervision and coordination of logistics operations at the drilling rig
• Interface with Drilling Supervisor, Perth and supply base drilling logistics teams and service contractors to ensure personnel, equipment and materials are mobilised and demobilised safely and efficiently
• Maintain and distribute drilling operations look ahead
• Interface with rig crews, vessels and service contractors to coordinate cargo operations at drilling rig
• Preparation of vessel deck plans, cargo load out and discharge instructions
• Oversee vessel cargo load out and discharge operations
• Generate sea manifests and maintain registers and inventories
• Interface with operator and service contractors to mobilise drilling and completion personnel to drilling rig
• Coordination of vessel related activities including pre lay moorings, rig move operations, marine scope planning and scheduling across multiple port locations and groups.
• Ensure logistics documentation is accurate and remains at high standard
• Drive broader business cost reduction initiatives proactively through the sound management of resources without introducing risk to the operations
• Apply and abide by drilling logistics management systems for the campaign
• Ensure personnel, equipment and materials are mobilised / demobilised effectively and efficiently to meet the operational requirements
• Provide logistics support to the Drilling Supervisor, Perth and supply base drilling logistics teams and keep informed of any issues or concerns
• Ensure dangerous goods regulatory requirements are adhered to for the preparation, packaging and transportation of applicable equipment and material via sea and air
• Coordinate drilling logistics operations during drilling, well testing, subsea, completion and workover campaign phases including contingency planning to prevent down time on critical path.
• Ensure drilling rig inventory and rental registers are accurate and include SAP details where applicable
• Identify and implement technical improvement initiatives for drilling logistics operation
• Service contractor compliance with operator and regulatory requirements

Key Skills and Experience Required:

• OPITO approved FOET with CA-EBS
• Dangerous Goods Certification by Sea and Air
• 10 years oil and gas industry experience at supply bases and offshore facilities in Australia including supervision of drilling logistics teams onshore and offshore. Drilling industry experience covering development and exploration drilling and completion operations across different well types (Deepwater, HPHT, Platform, ERD etc.) and MODU types.
• In depth knowledge of all aspects of materials and logistics support of offshore drilling & completions operations in Australia.
