Seeking to add a Senior Pressure Systems Integrity Engineer to work as part of a key team providing integrity management services for a BP inspection engineering contract in GoM. The position will be located in Houston, Texas. This is not a contract position.
What you will be doing:
• Supporting implementation of Integrity Management programs including inspection processes, fit for purpose assessments, risk-based assessments (RBA), inspection and monitoring programs • Preparing and updating inspection strategies, component criticality assessment, inspection plans, and work packs
• Reviewing, and analyzing technical submissions from 3rd party and modifications contractors • Reviewing inspection reports for anomalies, completing risk assessments, and proposing mitigations
• Performing detailed analysis to understand the behavior of complex details in as-design, damaged, and post-repair conditions, including piping stress analysis, fatigue, and fitness for service assessments • Providing technical support to the client regarding performance envelope of assets, design basis, design code compliance, external loading, or integrity of the asset fabric
• Preparing Integrity Management System documents and procedures, Performance Standards, and Safety Case input • Liaising with other disciplines through work development, investigating, advising, and making recommendations based on problems identified during assessment and providing technical input to risk assessments and risk-based inspection assessments.
We think you should have:
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering in a related field with experience in a brownfield industrial environment.
• Knowledge of Pressure System Integrity Engineering techniques, including but not limited to pipe stress analysis, API 579 fitness for service assessment,
API 580 Risk based Inspection, and familiarity with non-intrusive inspection techniques. • Knowledge of in-service inspection codes and standards, including but not limited to API 510 and API 570.
• Solid understanding of industry standards and regulations • Familiarity with QA/QC practices
• Ability to complete all mandatory safety training and meet qualifications required for work at various sites, including offshore sites.
