Job Title: Construction Inspector
Location:  Northeastern, AB - FIFO of Calgary or Edmonton
Length: 1 year contract to start
Rotation: Flexible rotation requiring some shifts being 21/4

Description:
Level 1 Facility and Pipeline Inspector Qualifications / Requirements (Developmental Role)
 

• For B31.3 piping fabrication, work with another Inspector deemed qualified by the client to work on ABSA piping.
• Less than three years’ project management (supervision work) experience.
• Good understanding of CSA Z662
• Learning the use of SiteView.  Proficient with Word and Excel programs as wells as email and other applicable communication and information systems.
• Learning cost tracking and control skills.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Learning relationship between codes and jurisdictions.
• Developing an understanding of environmental regulations and requirements.
• Developing good drawing control skills.
• Learning the management of change programs including change order processing.
• Maintain mandatory safety tickets and Driver’s License in good standing

Level 2 Facility and Pipeline Inspector Qualifications / Requirements

• Minimum three years’ project management (supervision work) experience.
• Has good working knowledge of the clients specifications and standards.
• Has a good working knowledge of the clients HSE management system.  Continually shows safety leadership on the work site.
• Proficient in the use of SiteView.  Proficient with Word and Excel programs as wells as email and other applicable communication and information systems.
• Demonstrates cost tracking and control skills.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of relationship between codes and jurisdictions.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of environmental regulations and requirements.
• Demonstrate good drawing control skills.
• Understand and work within the management of change programs including change order processing.
• Maintain mandatory safety tickets and Driver’s License in good standing

For this location, we need applicants to understand that they will be asked to participate in a flexible shift up to 21 on and 4 off.  The work will consist primarily of pipeline work but may also include other Facility work so experience with both CSA and ASME code is a must.  The job will also need someone who is capable of handling work on a variety of small projects and interfacing closely with operations personnel, they need to be able to work within the team and be able to prepare estimates and thoroughly scope small jobs.
